Only MPEG-2 TS (SPTS/MPTS) is supported.

System Requirements:

  • Windows 8/8.1/10/11 64 bit, Server 2008/2012 64 bit.

  • Linux 64bit + glibc-2.17 (December 2012: Ubuntu 13.04, Debian 8, RHEL 7, CentOS 7) and higher.

Attention

It is not recommended to run the probe under virtual machines.
When analyzing IPTV streams: their recording and Ethernet parameters (IAT, MLR) may be unreliable.
Due to the large number of solutions for virtualizing OS and network subsystems, the operation of the probe under VM is not tested and is not guaranteed.
Recommended OS: A stable Linux distribution with a long time support and fresh stable version of a kernel. It is not recommended to use CentOS 7.x based on an old kernel.
Minimum hardware requirements: Processors supporting SSE2 (Intel® Pentium 4 and later, AMD® Opteron and Athlon 64, and later versions).
Recommended hardware requirements: Depend on the probe version, chosen monitoring options, number of analysed channels and/or number of media representations in OTT services. Using special calculation tools, Elecard support team tsup@elecard.com will assist you in selection of hardware configuration that is most suitable for your tasks. Detailed information on the network adapter choosing is given in the “Choosing Ethernet Controller” chapter.

Note

If the total traffic of all analyzed streams exceeds 500 Mbps, it is required for the correct probe operation to have RAM at least in the dual-channel mode. However, even with a smaller traffic volume, RAM dual-channel mode is desirable.

Probe outgoing traffic:
  • 53/TCP/UDP (required) — DNS;

  • 443/TCP (required) — used for communication of the probe and the server;

  • 8443/TCP (required, default) — used for probe-server communication for Boro Solution;

  • 3478/UDP, 19302/UDP — used for establishing the connection between the probe and a user’s browser for records downloading. WebRTC Technology;

  • 162/UDP (default) — used for sending SNMP trap messages. Port can be configured on the SNMP notifications settings page.

Working With Server

For working with the server, the browser is required.

Supported Browsers:

  • Chromium, version 54 and later
  • Google Chrome, version 54 and later
  • Mozilla Firefox, version 47 and later

For a smooth experience, make sure that your browser is updated to the latest version.

Minimum screen resolution required: FullHD (1920×1080)
For screens with a lower resolution, the proper interface displaying is not guaranteed.
